Casey and the Flying Fortress by Mark Farina In-Person
As part of the 2018 Bloomington Reads Programming Series, you’ll learn about Casey Paulinski, a young man from Chicago who became a copilot of a bomber in Europe during WWII. Journey from his training to the assembly of his B-17 crew to the men’s struggles after being held as prisoners of war. Sixty years later, details emerged that Paulinski’s family and fellow crew members never knew. Our presenter, author Mark Farina, is Paulinski’s son-in-law. A Question & Answer session and book signing will follow this program which begins at 2pm in the Bloomington Public Library Community Room.
