Prairie Fire Theatre Presents “Baobob” In-Person
Join us at 6:30pm in the Bloomington Library Children’s Department as Prairie Fire Theatre in partnership with Illinois Wesleyan School of Opera, presents Baobob, an opera about a giant lone tree whose existence is threatened when a fortune hunter sails in with a treasure map. With the help of the audience, this 40-minute musical romp comes to a riotous, operatic conclusion. Along the way, everyone learns that it helps to be prepared, it’s good to be brave, and trees are magnifique! This funny but heartfelt opera features short selections from classical music repertoire presented in a way that children love.
