Illinois Memoirs: Our Story and Your Opportunity In-Person

John Hallwas, an Illinois author and historian, will present fascinating memoirs by Illinoisans throughout its 200-year history. Attendees of this 2pm program in the Bloomington Library Community Room will learn how they can contribute by writing memoirs, editing memoirs of area residents, or reading and discussing memoirs in a group setting. This program may foster local efforts to read and write about the Illinois experience in conjunction with the state’s Bicentennial and is being offered in partnership with the McLean County Museum of History.

This program is made possible in part by a grant from Illinois Humanities, supported in part by the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH), and the Illinois General Assembly [through the Illinois Arts, a state agency], as well as by contributions from individuals, foundations, and corporations.
