The principal of each District 87 elementary school has chosen a night in October to take part in Bloomington Library's Principals Read program!

There will be one principal present each night that the program meets, and each principal will read some of his or her favorite stories aloud to students. 

Often times, at the conclusion of the program, the parents in attendance will organize a group photo of the principal and all the students in attendance. Students and parents are encouraged to come to the Children’s Department, especially if it’s the night their school’s principal is leading story time and sharing with students the importance of reading.

Each principal begins reading at 6:30pm.

• Tues Oct 9 - Principal Behrends-Harr of Sarah Raymond School
• Tues Oct 16 - Principal Lockenvitz of Washington School
• Thurs Oct 18 - Principal Hansen of Stevenson School
• Tues Oct 23 - Principal LaFrance of Oakland School
• Thurs Oct 25 - Principal Gerringer of Bent School
