Notable Women in Illinois’ History In-Person
Tom Emery will present a one-hour look at some of the most influential women in Illinois history, including political and social leaders, Civil War heroines, and authors. The program will analyze the impact of these women, the obstacles they faced, and their lasting legacies statewide and nationally. Such figures as Jane Addams, Mother Bickerdyke, Mary Todd Lincoln, Frances Willard, Gwendolyn Brooks, Lottie Holman O'Neill, and Bloomington's Florence Fifer Bohrer will be highlighted.
