We’re celebrating the first anniversary of our 1000 Books Before Kindergarten program with pajama night at Bloomington Library. Join us for stories with Storyteller Mike Lockett and bedtime-themed music from the Illinois State University String Project. We encourage everyone to bring a pillow and blanket and to wear their pajamas. This program aims to promote bedtime reading, lullabies, rhythm, and rhyme. A star wand will be given to participants so they can interact as Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star is performed. Participants will be able to decorate their wand, pick up reading logs, and take part in other activities after the program. This program is funded by the Reading with Norma Bloomington-Normal Sunrise Rotary Early Childhood Literacy Program Grant.
